Security Requirements: All assigned personnel shall be U.S. citizens with an active NACLC (National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit) clearance. Position Description:   Responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of the development application database environments  Installs, configures and manages our staging and development Oracle database environments  and  applications on Solaris platform which mimics the production environment Monitors and tunes performance, working across application, server/storage, database and functional support areas to tune system for optimal performance Works with management and security team to assist in implementing and enforcing security policies  Creates and manages user and security profiles, ensuring application security policies and procedures are followed Designs and implements database backup and recovery procedures in conjunction with system and application administrators for comprehensive data protection Pro-actively reviews patch bundles and upgrades for applicability to environment Leads and executes all installations, upgrades and patch applications Develop and document standard processes for the same Performs other duties and assists other staff as necessary or as directed by management.   Qualifications:   5+ years Oracle DBA experience managing databases in mission-critical application environments Oracle 10g / 11g experience Multi-platform exposure: Linux, HP-UX , Sun Solaris Excellent communication and customer service skills   Preferred Skills:   Oracle DBA certification/Sun Solaris Certification     JAVA Developer skills:   JAVA JAVAScript Enterprise JAVA Beans Jdeveloper LOG4j   Data base skills:   Oracle Forms/Reports Oracle Queing Oracle PL/SQL SQL Struts HTML/XML Cascading Style Sheets   System Skills:   UNIX DB Server administration Virtual Server administration Weblogic Server administration WS.FTP Port & Protocol use RoboHelp   Education: Bachelor’s degree required in IT-related field or degree in unrelated field and work experience acceptable.
