Education requirement: Bachelors degree or 6 years of IT work experience Top skills: JAVA, J2EE, Web Services, Object Oriented Programming Trade off skills: Core JAVA is nice to Have Interview process: Out of State candidates: Phone Screen followed by Onsite interview (Company will cover all travel expenses). Local Candidates: One onsite Interview. Hiring Decision typically made 24-48 hours following interview. Interviews will typically consist of brief Introduction to Cultural Foundation of company, followed by discussion of skillset and prior career achievements, followed by in-depth technical discussion. If candidate performs satisfactorily, interview will be followed by in-depth (20-25 minute) discussion of benefits. JOB DUTIES • Consistently applies learned processes, procedures and workflows to include (however not limited to) the software development lifecycle and/or release processes. • Creates system requirements, performs design and analysis, coding of medium to high complexity, unit testing of core system functionality and corrects defects during various phases of testing. • Independently install, customize and integrate commercial software packages. Facilitates root cause analysis of system issues. • May serve as the subject matter expert on development techniques. Creates system documentation/play book and participates as a reviewer and contributor in requirements, design and code reviews. • Receives more complex work packages from manager/delegates. Develops accurate estimates, and creates project and component work packages based on specifications. • Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability and resolves complex technical design issues. • May serve as a mentor on procedural matters to junior team members. Minimum Requirements • Bachelors degree or 6 years of IT work experience • 4+ years of practical core Java experience • 4+ years J2EE experience • 2+ years web services development • 4+ years of object oriented programming Preferred • 2+ years client side development experience • 2+ years of server side development experience • 2+ years of C++ experience • Understanding of SOA and vendor integration • 2+ years leading teams of developers implement large distributed projects • WebSphere experience • Hands on experience on design and development of web applications using J2EE Regards Ben Recruitment Executive Alpha Solutions, Inc.
