"Core Network (MCC) Engineer – UK Expert Knowledge of NSN mobile networks, Nokia NT HLR and HIS700, LTE architecture, Nokia Traffica, Report Builder and netact An experienced Core Network (MCC) Engineer is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company for a Permanent Position based in the UK Key Objectives •Maintain maximum levels of Network Availability for all core network elements. Ensure all element downtime is reduced via maintenance actions. •Implement core design network changes and software upgrades while maintaining network integrity. •Support the resolution of any escalated core network faults. Provide root cause analysis to managers and peers as required. •Maintain SLA compliance for all customers. Perform analysis of core network failures. Identify and resolve any anomalies and drive up the Core CCSR figure. Responsibilities •Maintain maximum levels of Network Availability for all core network elements. Ensure all element downtime is reduced via maintenance actions. Review of clear code failures using Traffica News and Views to identify and then resolve any anomalies and drive up the Core CCSR figure. •Manage core network element faults within agreed SLA’s. Perform troubleshooting and work towards resolution of all escalated faults. Manage vendor escalation and liaise with vendor support until solutions to problems are identified and corrected. •By working closely with other teams, carry out root cause analysis and recommend permanent solutions to problems. •Deliver new products and services into the production network. Provide support during project delivery for the implementation of all new design. Verify test plans and recommend changes where required to improve delivery of new products and services. •Implement hardware and software upgrades on all core network elements. •Perform call out duties on a rotational basis in order to provide 24/7 cover for all escalated faults. •Assist with the testing and integration of new products and services. Ensuring a smooth transition to new architecture such as HiS700, Samsung LTE and Nokia NT HLR. Operational Experience •Expert Knowledge of NSN mobile networks •Operational knowledge of Nokia NT HLR and HIS700 •Operational knowledge of LTE architecture •Strong background in NSN maintenance and upgrade procedures. •Knowledge of Nokia Traffica, Report Builder and netact Personal Characteristics •Dynamic - Strong team player •Flexible approach to duties •Logical approach to problem solving •Ability to prioritise work, adapt to changes in environment and to deliver under pressure – I.e. enhanced sense of urgency during incidents. •Ability to develop relationships internally & externally to the team •Professional approach to responsibilities – ability to take ownership.
