Group: IT Recruiters Subject: An experienced Optical/IP Solutions Manager is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company for a Permanent Position based in the Ipswich/UK Rachael Manning posted a job: An experienced Optical/IP Solutions Manager is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company for a Permanent Position based in the Ipswich/UK "Optical/IP Solutions Manager - Ipswich/ UK 5 years experience in telecommunication solutions, Experience of Pre-sales, Customer network design, Change Management, and Sales Order processes, An experienced Optical/IP Solutions Manager is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company for a Permanent Position based in the UK Job Description: Based in Ipswich you will be responsible for Optical Core and Access Solutions for the BT Key Account, both in supporting existing business and developing new business opportunities. The role can be developed to suit the successful candidate, with opportunity available for both an Optical Product Manager role, and an Optical/IP Solutions manager role (including team management responsibility) Key Responsibilities: " Overall responsible for our clients Optical sales and related solutions to BT " Includes support existing Optical Business, network designs and contracts " Developing new Optical business, including Core and Access expansion opportunities " Responsible for business lifecycle from pre-sales, solution propositions, network design, to sales order process, in accordance with our clients systems " Maintain and developing related customer relationship and business engagement " For Management position, includes team management responsibility, including objective setting and team/individual performance management. Qualifications: " Bachelor or higher degree in related Telecommunication, computer science or related telecommunication discipline; " For Management position, above 5 years experience in telecommunication solutions roles and at least 2 years in senior team leading role. " Experience of Telecom architectures and network evolution with extensive knowledge, good understanding of the mobile broadband and fixed broadband networks. " Business case and competitive analysis experience in strategy and products marketing is an asset " Experience of Pre-sales, Customer network design, Change Management, and Sales Order processes " Strong communication and presentation skills. " Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; " Fluent (reading and written) English and able to travel in UK, with occasional international travel. Skills and Competencies " Must be hard-working and welcome challenges. " Must be a team player with self-management skills. " Must be self motivated and result driven. " Must be proactive and responsible. " Excellent customer facing skills in related Optical business and technical disciplines " Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and fluency in both English and ideally Chinese. " Good time management with the ability to organize and prioritize own work load with minimal supervision and work to tight deadlines. " Ability to create/ process documents and records accurately with strong attention to details. " Ability to exercise initiative and work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team; " Ability to adapt to a changing workflow and work flexibly.
