Duration:6-12 months. JSP Front-End Web Developer Client is looking for an exceptional Web Developer to join their Digital Products Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing not only their web development skills but also a proven track record of successfully working in a corporate or large team environment where he/she functioned as a key player in the software development life-cycle process. Candidates should have an in-depth knowledge of front-end technologies, methodologies, Frameworks and debugging tools. Explicitly, they must possess solid JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5 and be proficient w/ JSP and JQuery. Candidates should be well versed with the following development concepts: Object Oriented programming, MVC, Responsive design, AJAX, JSP Tag Libraries, RESTful/SOAP services, SEO, Cross browser performance optimization, CMS, SDKs, Web Servers, Database Tables, etc • Create prototypes for evaluation from mock-ups and wireframes. • Develop optimized/cross-platform front-end code in HTML(4/5), CSS(2/3), Object-Oriented JavaScript • Eliminate cross-browser issues • Participate in third party vendor reviews and weigh in on all appropriate technologies that are to be implemented • Modify and maintain existing websites as web development requests come in from various parts of the company. • Use performance-monitoring tools and make recommendations to optimize code to meet desired metrics. • Attend scrum sessions for assigned projects. What you must have: • Great attitude about solving complex and every-day problems • 4+ years of web development experience • A B.S in computer Science or computer engineering • Expert level DOM Scripting, JavaScript event handling, CSS3, HTML5 and object oriented JavaScript • Experience working with a templating systems such as JSP • Experience developing for responsive sites • Experience w/ popular JavaScript libraries such as: JQuery • Experience w/ JSON, AJAX, XML • Advanced understanding of front-end optimization techniques • Experience developing API driven sites • Definite Pluses: • Workflow, bug tracking experience: JIRA • Agile, scrum, waterfall methodologies • Intermediate skills in Photoshop.
