Lead Opening in San Diego, CA "Full Time Role Salary: $140k+/year DOE + 10% Bonus Summary: Collaborates closely with technical and non-technical cross functional team members to design and document current and future product direction to include: overall system architecture, sub-system architecture, interfaces, performance characteristics and implementation direction. Supports user needs and design inputs definition to ensure consistent feature set that optimizes usability. Define software and interfaces architecture for devices and infrastructure applications. Define software subsystem requirements with the software development team. Review and guide detailed designs to ensure alignment with architecture and intent. Evaluate end functionality to ensure that stakeholder needs and design intent is achieved. Champion complex technical projects using advanced techniques and serve as a technical expert. Hardcore Java Dev. background with Hands On participation. High level design and detailed design who will review others implementation. Develop scope, plan and directions for projects integrating multiple technical functions. Chief Tech. role on the team. No direct reports, however team of 50. Define design inputs and subsystem requirements for software products. Develop software architecture for new medical products to meet user needs. Investigate complex system level issues to determine root cause and propose resolutions. Create, design and solve complex intra-disciplinary problems. Collaborate with the software development team to define and review detailed software designs and provide architectural guidance throughout the development lifecycle. Must be an outstanding communicator who is able to understand the verbal and written non-technical needs of the user and the technical needs of the developer, as well as communicate equally well with both groups. Able to elevate people around them and see how well they would fit in team. Travel to Lake Forest (~10%) Global Team in India Next release will be overhaul of server product to be deployed in cloud Skills/Experience Education/Certification Requirements: BS Computer Science, Engineering with 10+ years experience in software and systems engineering, software patterns and architectures; with MS 8+ years experience. Algorithm development exp. not required but is a plus MS or PHD a + but not required 7+ years and expert proficiency with at least one advanced computer language (e.g. C/C++, Java) The more up to date with Java cloud options the better Multi-server solutions experience, with proven expertise in failover, clustering, and fault tolerant solutions. Experience designing and developing algorithms SQL database experience and NoSQL databases and technologies. (Current is SQL but looking at No SQL) Experience in other technologies (preferred): Apache Camel, Apache CXF, Spring, Hibernate, OSGi frameworks, JAXB, JDOM, Protobuf, JUnit, c3p0, Maven, and EMMA. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. HAS to be easy to work with. Being able to show examples of taking solution into cloud...AWS, Azure 3+ years medical product development and/or equivalent experience in highly regulated environments (preferred) Has ability to move up Management Ladder >>HUGE Key Potential to be developped but Architect first Within 3 years could move up Please send me your resume @ aldric@pmtalentglobal.com"
