Send your resume to rukman@gallopresources.com "Length: 12 months Job description: Our client has a need for a SharePoint (SP) Administrator with SP development experience for its internal, citizen & business focused SP sites & FAST Search environment. Qualifications: This position will work with Client’s Web Services team and will be involved with security & governance of the SP Environment. The position will perform general SP maintenance, monitoring, & reporting as required to ensure the general integrity of the Client SP environment The candidate will support approval & deployment of custom SP solutions, applications & any other custom SP Code The candidate should have a strong development background & be able to produce prototypes, patterns, & standards for the Web Services Dev. team to follow This role will collaborate with Web Services developers, IT managers, Communications Office, & other business peers to create & enforce SP governance policies, best practices & standards. Candidate will have demonstrated experience in administering & managing SP-powered websites. • Maintain SP & Fast Search farms: including daily monitoring, troubleshooting & performance analysis • Participate in the configuration & maintenance of document libraries, enterprise lists, site collections & search optimization • Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, & infrastructure issue resolution. • Monitor SP performance & work with Integration Team to resolve performance issues • Assist developers/designers as needed to prototype/implement best practices within SP/Fast Search • Serve on the team to establish controls, standards & procedures for the SP/Fast Search environment • Responsible for completing documentation • Coordinate with developers & designers to standardize & optimize data/information storage & retrieval • Work with Enterprise Architecture group to help implement NCDOTs information architecture • Act as gatekeeper of production environments; code review/approve solution deployments; implement & monitor production changes; establish & administer a process for monitoring developer access to the production environment • Assist in managing/monitoring proper authorization, authentication, & governance for the SP farm • Work with DOT Teams: Architecture, Security, Integration & Ops, & Enterprise Content Management • Knowledge transfer to team members is part of team environment REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the administration of SharePoint Server 2007/2010/2013, IIS 6 & 7, asp.net applications • Experience administering SharePoint environment configuration, site collection creation, sub site and page configuration • Experience administering Fast Search for SharePoint 2010 server Farms • Hands on experience creating InfoPath forms, implementing custom workflows, and custom web parts. • Experience working with and developing Business Data Connectivity (BDC) • Experience consuming, or creating standard web services from the web platform or SharePoint platform • Proficient in Visual Studio 2010/2012 • Proficient with.NET C#, ASP.NET, Powershell • Knowledge and practical experience of applications development in a distributed database environment • Familiarity with VMWare virtualization technology • Familiarity with NetApp storage solutions. • Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server • Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communications • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills PREFERRED SKILLS: • Experience with SharePoint 2013 is a plus • Experience with SQL Server 2008/12 administration & TSQL language • Experience with DNS, Active Directory • Experience with customizing the SharePoint settings that define the look and feel of SharePoint sites • Knowledge of XML and XSLT • Knowledge of information architecture • Experience in working with developers integrating web applications into SharePoint"
