No SKYPE interviews allowed. Client is looking for a UNIX / Linux System Administrator. The individual will be responsible for maintaining LINUX (RedHat)/UNIX systems at the global level. This includes highly critical trading systems, development and QA systems. The person will manage major incidents, escalations to vendors, coordinate with other support teams and facilitate root cause analysis sessions. Duties include installing, configuring, administrating, Red Hat, Solaris and AIX, and manage rollout of complex changes. Responsibilities also include maintenance of hardware/software configurations for Red Hat Linux enterprise systems located within a Data Center. Ability to generate, install, implement and maintain system-level software packages such as firmware, OS, Clustering, disk and file management, backup, web applications, DNS, programming languages such as Perl, Shell and secure shell. Develop, install and maintain utility programs/shell scripts used to manage application start, stop, end-of-day, monitoring and failure/recovery. Experience with OS Config management tools such as puppet. The support team provides weekend and off hours on-call service. The individual needs to be flexible with work hours and weekend rotation. Requirements: • 5 years experience as a Senior Systems Administrator • 5 years experience working with Unix/Linux as Systems Administrator. • 2 years experience with HP hardware (Blade Systems and Proliant Servers) • 2 years experience with TCP/IP networking • 2 years System Administration experience in a 24x7-production environment dealing with 500+ servers • 2 years experience as a VMware Administration (vCenter) Skills: • RedHat Certification • VMware Certification • Experience working with OS Config management tool. • Network Analysis and troubleshooting • QA testing and performance experience"
