Group: IT Recruiters Subject: Migration Manager – UK Rachael Manning posted a job: Migration Manager – UK "Migration Manager – UK (Telecoms, BSS/IT, Transformation, Cutover, Migration, Data Conversion, SPOC, ITIL, UK, Perm) An experienced Migration Manager is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company based in the UK, on a permanent basis. You will be based in Reading. Job Description The Cutover Manager will work within a large team of managers working together to deliver a major BSS project, based in the UK. Key Responsibilities: • Act as SPOC on behalf of Migration team, and ensure that analysis, planning and execution of migration activities conforms to project quality standards and overall project triple constraints agreed in the baseline plan. • Define the detailed Migration Plan • Detailed migration steps • Detail plan for parallel operation • Detailed Concept for Data Conversion • Data Mapping – conversion rules • Planning of CatchUp Phases / Concept to minimize the Business Impact during migration downtimes • Planning and execution of the Migration Tests • Execute Quality Assurance and Risk Management Strategy Qualifications: Essential knowledge/skills: • • 8 years or above BSS/IT technical background • • 2 BSS/IT transformation project experience, lead or key member of migration team. • Fluent communication in English Essential experience: • 5-6 years minimum experience of managing data migration in BSS projects • Experience of producing and delivering customer presentations • Experience of working in the telecoms industry • Proven ability to interact with diverse customers in a multi-cultural environment • Experience of the software development life cycle desirable but not essential Essential qualification(s): • Diploma, degree or above in a relevant discipline. • Recognized project management qualification desirable • ITIL qualification desirable but not essential If you are interested, available and have the appropriate skills and experiences for the above position, please forward your updated resume in a word document to Jason sales@manningglobal.com with the following reference LIJV/MMgr or call +385 1 638 7404 for further information."
