Group: IT Recruiters Subject: Security Compliance Manager - UK Rachael Manning posted a job: Security Compliance Manager - UK "Security Compliance Manager - UK (Monitoring & Auditing Compliance, Security Standards, Telecoms/Computer Network, Computer Infrastructures, ISO 2000/27001, CISSP, UK, PERM) Manning Global is currently looking for an experienced Security Compliance Manager for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company for a Permanent Position based in the UK Duties & Responsibilities: " To ensure that Security policy, standards and practice are aligned to the needs of the business, as defined in Corporate Strategy and resulting IS strategy & plans. " To extend security governance across Group IS and the wider organization by ensuring that security requirements are built into all new products and services. " Security is a key function of all new architecture and infrastructure, and by working with IS architecture, project management, and development teams, define and ensure implementation of the required level of security functionality into new products and services. " To ensure that existing security policy is implemented across Group IS and provides effective and pro-active mitigation of security related Corporate Risk and IS Operational Risks. " Monitoring and auditing compliance with all relevant security related standards (including ISO 27001), legislation, and contracts with third parties. " Ensure that Group IS fulfil a planned and agreed schedule of internal security audits spanning all Group IS functions according to IS SMT priorities. " Ensure that security related outcomes of both internal and external audits are effectively communicated and subsequent actions are followed through to satisfactory conclusion. " Work within the Governance and Improvement team to manage the relationship with third party auditors, and facilitate external auditor meetings including scheduling, preparation and follow-up of actions. The SCM will encourage awareness of information security to include: " Maintain up to date knowledge and a broad understanding of laws relating to security and privacy, security policies, industry best practices, exposures, and their applications to the Organization " Act as an advocate for security and privacy on internal and external security committees as necessary " Maintain and manage security awareness training for all new starters as part of the induction process, and for all staff on an ongoing basis. Additional requirements: " Good negotiating, presentation, and man-management skills in order to effectively manage teams and Infrastructure projects. " Good understanding of Telecom/Computer network infrastructure technologies, protocols, and principles. " A good understanding of relevant security standards, procedures and technologies. " An extensive understanding of computing systems infrastructure and technologies. " An understanding of project management, documentation, time and resource planning, and business methods. " At least one formal qualification from each of the following groups (a, b) is mandatory: " A recognized security qualification: CISSP, SSCP, CISM, GIAC.
