Group: IT Recruiters Subject: An experienced BSS Solution Architect is needed in the UK Rachael Manning posted a job: An experienced BSS Solution Architect is needed in the UK "BSS Solution Architect - UK (Telecoms, Solution Architect, BSS, UK, Perm) An experienced BSS Solution Architect is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company based in the UK, on a permanent basis. You will be based in Hook. Job description: The Solution Architect will be responsible for defining a module or modules of the overall BSS solution (e.g. billing, CRM, charging, mediation, provisioning, ESB, etc) Responsibilities: ● Lead the solution architecture definition for a specific module (or modules) of the BSS solution (e.g. billing, CRM, charging, mediation, provisioning, ESB, etc) and deliver Solution Architecture Documents (SADs). ● Responsible for the correct identification of customer requirements and correct communication of those to the development team. ● Ensure that the design of the system module architecture is robust and integrated seamlessly into existing networks and systems. ● Ensure that the application architecture is designed with a high degree of modularity, scalability and interoperability with external system interfaces. ● Ensure the application architecture, design and implementation conforms to the business and system requirements of the related module. ● Responsible for providing all internal and external documentation relating to the solution. ● Responsible for reviewing detailed design documents and interface agreements. Qualifications: Essential knowledge/skills: ● Knowledge of the BSS solution ● Knowledge of best industry practices in requirements gathering and solution architecture. ● Ability to manage customer workshops. ● Ability to manage and control customer expectations focusing on minimizing customization. ● Ability to work with customers, internal business unit organizations, and third party vendors. ● Ability to provide concise and clear, written and verbal reports. ● Ability to present technical information to audiences with a wide range of technical knowledge. ● Knowledge of eTom and ITIL is desirable. ● Proven experience of business analysis and business process definition is highly desirable and could lead to consideration of a Business Analyst role. Essential experience: ● Proven solution architecture experience within major BSS integration projects. Essential qualification(s): ● Diploma, degree or above in a relevant technical discipline.
