Group: IT Recruiters Subject: An experienced Solution and Bid Manager is needed in the UK Rachael Manning posted a job: An experienced Solution and Bid Manager is needed in the UK "Solution and Bid Manager UK (Telecoms, Solutions and Bid Management, Integrated / Large-Scale Projects, UK, Perm) An experienced Solution and Bid Manager is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company based in the UK, on a permanent basis. You will be based in Reading. Job description: You would be responsible for solutions and bid management of integrated / large-scale projects, acting in the roles of both a bid team leader and a general technical and solution engineer within the Carrier Solutions market space Responsibilities: To work with the account team to manage account opportunities, organise and take part in pre-bid technical direction, respond to tender documents, produce bid documents and negotiate key issues with clients. To understand the bid timelines and develop a bid plan to meet the relevant milestones on time and steer the team to a successful completion. To prepare and present high quality bids/tenders which balances quality and profit across all sectors from initial receipt through tender adjudication, ensuring a competitive and cost-effective solution to meet customer’s requirements. Responsible for the requirement analysis, overall solution and the related bid strategy analysis. End-to-end responsibility for solutions as solution responsible for Carrier Leads and Opportunities. Responsible within a project of the total architectural solution and customer technical requirements with coordination of additional product specialist where required from the Product Sales teams. Responsible also to understand the market prices for the solution and design the solution to meet cost requirements (i.e. choose the best option) Requirements: Bachelor degree or higher in the subject of telecommunications, computer or electronics will be desirable Good understanding of state-of-the-art telecom technology and network structure. Two years or more experience as bid manager / solution manager for telecom infrastructure projects, preferably with world leading manufacturers and for high value projects. Technical and Commercial knowledge.
