Job Description: Analyzes data requirements and develops ETL solutions to support Data Warehouse initiatives. Participates in database design discussions, collaborating with Data Architects and reporting Specialists to ensure the database designs are accurate and that they support efficient reporting. Assists in the identification and resolution of inefficiencies in ETL designs and determines and implements solutions for ETL design problems. Required 2-3 years of technology experience using Informatica. Concrete examples of delivery around data intensive ETL. Possesses good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts with medium to large enterprise data warehouses (SQL Server 2008-2012 and/or Oracle). At least 2-3 years of top-level business consulting experience working with corporate clients to define business needs and proactively seek out solutions to those needs. Experience in the Retail, Restaurant, and/or Quick Service Restaurant Industry a plus. Past experience and a current commitment to using best practices in the development process and must have ETL deployment & maintenance experience with exposure to full SDLC process with Agile and Scrum preferred. Validates ETL designs for accuracy and performance, identifying opportunities for improvement. Analyzes the impact of source system data design changes as they relate to existing ETLsolutions and makes appropriate changes to existing ETL solutions. Performs analysis to prevent data redundancy across systems and employs data integration best practices. Develops and maintains ETL architecture and administration standards including standardization of package names, control flows, data flows, etc. Enforces consistency across the enterprise. Performs data profiling, understands source data, and designs ETL solutions to accommodate any nuances that may exist. Bachelors degree in Information Science (or related field) or equivalent proven experience. Minimum of five years experience in a professional development environment having participated in all facets of the software development life cycle. Minimum of five years information technology development and SQL experience. Minimum of five years experience with SSIS. Experience with ERwin, ER/Studio or similar data modeling tools. Experience with SQL Server or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMs)."
