Job Description: Complete Description: The Project Manager directs, controls, administers, and regulates enhancement or development. The Project Manager is the individual ultimately responsible to the agency. The Program Managers primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish. The Project Manager must ensure that the program is completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements. Years of Relevant Experience: 5 to 7 years Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study. Role Description: This position is critical to the Traveler Information Systems (TIS) Section within the Office of Information Technology (OIT). The TIS Section is responsible for the Department of Transportations Intelligent Transportation Management Systems (ITMS) initiatives. The TIS Section supports and maintains all technology and inter-connectivity for Toll Operations, Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC), and the Transportation Management Center (TMC). In addition, the TIS Section provides support for statewide communications construction for the Traffic Section that includes all critical infrastructure and equipment associated with the intelligent devices that line Delaware highways (statewide networked fiber, variable message boards, variable speed limit signs, traffic signals, traffic cameras, etc.). The TIS section is required to provide support 24x7. Location will be in Dover Delaware but will have some required travel throughout the state (10% or less) The deployment of the new Computer Aided Dispatch/ Automated Vehicle Location (CAD/AVL) system is critical to the operation of DTC. It is imperative that the TIS Section ensure proper analysis and project management for this multimillion dollar deployment. This position is also a key resource for the production of reference data used for financial and federal reporting. This position performs compilation and cleansing of data in order to facilitate reporting to DTC management in the areas of revenue, trends analysis, ADA compliance and ridership. Accountable for the approval and sign-off of the program plan with customer representatives, such as portfolio managers, and all affected program stakeholders. Accountable for management of scope for the program and gaining agreement and approval of scope changes with customer representatives and affected stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customer representatives. Direct work planning and scheduling design work. Manage and track the program progress against the program plan. Serve as the primary point of contact for all program-related issues and resolution of issues. Coordinate and present proposals to agencies as necessary. "
