Group: IT Recruiters Subject: Position: Storage Engineer (2459) Duration: 2 years Location: Brooklyn, NY Send resume, and salary requirements Any questions, please email mchow@deltamine.com Mary Chow posted a job: Position: Storage Engineer (2459) Duration: 2 years Location: Brooklyn, NY Send resume, and salary requirements Any questions, please email mchow@deltamine.com "Position: Storage Engineer (2459) Duration: 2 years Location: Brooklyn, NY Send resume, and salary requirements Any questions, please email mchow@deltamine.com Requirements: • 4 years of satisfactory full-time work (not classroom based) experience in storage planning, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, security management; and Backup • MUST have extremely strong EMC Networker Backup/Recovery systems skills • Must be familiar with command line management of Networker and be able to script repetitive tasks • Hands-on experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting EMC Networker backup servers • EMC Proven Professional • CompTIA Storage+ Powered by SNIA • VMWare Certified Professional • EMC Cloud Certification • EMC [Legato] Networker 7.x or 8.x storage nodes, pools, clients and modules • Proficiency in EMC hardware, software and/or operating systems environments • Experience communicating backup concepts and designs to other disciplines and management • Experience integrating BRS systems into heterogeneous server environments running UNIX, Windows, Linux, and VMware • Disaster-tolerant BRS design and implementation • Integrating enterprise backup applications with applications: Oracle RMAN, MS SQL Server, MS Exchange, etc. • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Data Domain, Avamar, or Source One • Experience troubleshooting backup and recovery systems including backup hardware devices • Experience efficiently managing large BRS deployments (i.e. deploying agents across an enterprise server environment, automating backups, generating usage reports, etc.) • Backup and recovery tuning and performance measurement/reporting. • Experience in storage (tape and disk) and backup and recovery architecture design and solutions, theories, principles and practices • Experience with developing and implementing effective backup and recovery policies for medium to large data centers • Hands-on experience in the lifecycle [architect, build, test, maintain] of activities surrounding backup and recovery as well as disaster recovery • Proactively monitor and report on system performance, capacity, availability, and end user response time • Experience with physical tape management strategies including the tape cloning/copy process, offsite tape media management [tape export and tape import]. • Strong documentation and communication abilities"
