We have an immediate requirement for Oracle DBA / Production DBA with one of the MNC Client @ Bangalore. Title: Oracle DBA Location: Bagmane World Technology Centre, Bangalore Experience Required: 3+ years of hands on experience as Production DBA in Oracle 10g/11g RAC preferably on Windows OS. Job Description: • Oracle DBA with 3+ years of hands on experience as Production DBA in Oracle 10g/11g RAC preferably on Windows OS. • Primary focus of DBA service will be Eastern European region & should be willing to work in India afternoon (2pm - 11pm) and night (5:30pm - 2:30pm) • Experience in other Database technology like MS Sql is expected. • Install and configure Oracle 10g and 11g instances in both standalone, virtual and RAC environments. • Setting up Standby Databases for DR solutions • Apply regular maintenance and critical patch updates in a timely manner; • Proactively research potential issues that may be encountered as a result of infrastructure upgrades and share that information with the affected groups • Use Oracle and 3rd party tools (Toad, etc) to troubleshoot and resolve production issues 24/7 Incident Response to database alerts from production monitoring tools and Operations Center personnel • Should be able to access code before deployment into Production. • Diagnosing production issues with application specific database activity. Acting as bridge from development to operational DBA. • Analyze Key Performance Metrics using OEM management packs. • Optimize Oracle resource utilization by tuning queries, recommending indexes, and configuring database instance parameters • Provide input on the selection and implementation of all database administration tools • Provide incident and problem management for application database-related issues. • Provide for 24x7 support for all the production system.
