The position includes providing technical leadership, status reporting, performance/development process management and contribution to strategic direction. Provides specification and technology guidance for the developers. Position directly participates in the development and trouble shooting of critical applications interfaced to medical devices. Roles and Responsibilities: • Design, development and support for the expansion of an established multi-technology system; incorporation of new features/functions. • Provide technical oversight, review and management of technology development. • Guide the full life cycle development process for a medical device system; in compliance with appropriate FDA Guidelines. • Conducts technical code reviews and provides technical assistance to development team members. • Participates in the development of long range plans and goals. • Enforces the compliancy with architectural processes for projects. • Evaluates requirements, propose technical solutions, and provides feedback on technical feasibility and cost. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field. • Demonstrated experience leading others in a lead developer/architect role. • 15+ years of experience developing systems and software for large business environments. • Good communication and technical writing skills. • Ability and willingness to collaborate with internal and external resources during solution development. • Strong interest in emerging technologies and knowledge of generally used software design patterns. • Experience developing software in an FDA regulated environment. • Experience with build and source control tools and processes. • Leadership experience in Agile environments with a good understanding of rapid, iterative development methodologies. • Proficient in system architectures (translating application design to operational requirements) of software sub-systems • Experience developing with Qt (framework) based software products. • Cross-platform product development experience - Windows and Mac OS • Experience with the design of charting subsystems (scientific / engineering graphs)"
