Subject: Business Domain Architect - Global Leading Airline - Hong Kong Barry Williamson posted a job: Business Domain Architect - Global Leading Airline - Hong Kong "The Business Domain Architect works with the relevant Portfolio Team to define the technology strategy necessary to support both the near and the long term objectives of the business.He/she will work collaboratively with the Portfolio Managers and business representatives to understand, and where appropriate, influence the business strategy. He/she will capture this strategy through architecture deliverables including blueprints and roadmaps. He/she will manage dedicated Solution Architects in the domain to ensure the integrity and quality of design for projects within the portfolio. Responsibilities: •Collaboratively capture and influence the business strategy, especially as supported by technology, for the businesses withinthe portfolio •Be accountable and collaboratively define the technology strategy for the portfolio •Translate the technology strategy into the architecture blueprints and roadmaps •Create both business blueprints and information system blueprints •Monitor the external environment, including the technology, airline and non-airline industries, to introduce new ideas, recognise trends and innovate within the portfolio •Create and champion contextual analysis as related to the portfolio •Champion the technology strategy and the associated deliverables (blueprints, roadmaps) with the Portfolio Team and the businessrepresentatives •Ensure alignment of future demand with the technology strategy. Where unaligned, influence and shape demand as necessary •Consult on new demand, capture key requirements and elaborate technology options •Manage initial sizing estimation as part of the concept phase activities •Manage and develop Solution Architects assigned to the domain •Provide formal performance reviews for Solution Architects assigned to the domain •Participate in architecture governance; critically review all Solution Architecture deliverables relevant to the portfolio •Conduct current state analysis, gap analysis and architecture projects as needed •Demonstrate the need for change (realisation of the technology strategy) and solicit stakeholder support both within IMT and within the businesses in the portfolio •Capture and seek ownership of all key current state or design issues or risks within the portfolio •Work with the Development and Strategic Supplier Management teams to ensure awareness and alignment to the architecture standards, principles and strategies •Influence key stakeholders to support the architecture vision and strategyDeliverables: •Consultative Design Documents for new demand during the concept phase •Blueprints and Roadmaps for the domain •Stakeholder views necessary to achieve necessary buy-in to support change •Quality Assurance (QA) / critical design review of all Solution Architecture deliverables within the portfolio •Formal performance reviews of Solution Architects assigned to the portfolio •Architecture workplan If you meet these requirements please forward your CV to barry@realtimeresourcing.com to discuss further."
