We are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will be a recognized financial leader with excellent communication and people skills, and the drive, passion and ability to provide exceptional financial leadership. This position is based in Montreal,Qc, Canada and reports to the CEO and the Board of Directors. About the company: A 20+ year track record of bringing early-stage gold exploration projects to their full developmental potential and, once in operation, cost-effectively managing underground narrow vein gold mines, has earned this company a reputation as a reliable and well-managed publicly traded gold mine operator. Committed to continuing to perform at the highest level of operational and financial excellence, while remaining debt-free, to use it’s leadership position as a catalyst for consolidation amongst it’s peer group, to provide it’s employees with substantial economic and social benefits, and to provide it’s investors with stellar returns. The management team is focused on generating positive cash flow and profitable growth to provide the Company with a solid base upon which to increase production rates, grow reserve levels, and expand the Company’s pipeline of projects. It’s asset portfolio includes a number of mineral properties in the production, development and exploration stage, and two wholly-owned gold mills. Requirements: Previous experience working for mining sector firms involved in exploration as well as mine development and production. Solid communication skills with fluency in English and French (both written and verbal communications). Strong abilities to communicate with diverse audiences including the investment community, Boards, regulatory officials, and strategic partners. Must have a Chartered Accountant designation. Should have a minimum of 15 years significant experience in senior financial roles. Should have served in a public company environment with previous experience as a CFO or Vice President Finance/Director of Finance. Demonstrated high level of leadership and management skills. Demonstrated extensive experience in the financial area including financial analysis; financial reporting; asset/liability management; and portfolio management. Previous experience in bank financing, debt financing and the process of developing an asset from the financial perspective. Hedging experience Solid understanding of North American reporting requirements.
