Location :Broomfield, CO / Charlotte NC. Duration : Contract.   Role / Activities:  ·         Investigate application of domain sharding to improve web-client throughput ·         Configure and integrate in-house CDN as needed to support scalability ·         Address server-sent-event (SSE) messaging design ·         Analysis and implementation as needed for throughput, bandwidth and capacity management in a high-volume environment ·         Address general system integration with in-house systems ·         Plan, configure and maintain load/stress testing mechanisms ·         Devise strategies in support of image caching management ·         Work as part of a technical engineering team ·         Interface with other teams and/or third party vendors to assist in deployment of our client application Monitor industry trends and advocate for Web development best practices to maintain and enhance the product's leadership position in the industry.   Required Skills ·         8+ years software development, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment ·         HTTP - response codes, caching, request/response headers, authentication, cookies, compression ·         Working understanding of HTTP intermediaries (proxies, caches, gateways) ·         Java 6 - concurrency, JMS, collections, JAX-RS ·         Consume, design, develop and extend REST-based systems ·         Basic utility with web-client development: JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, JSON ·         Working familiarity with XML ·         Test-driven development: JUnit, TestNG ·         Spring - DI, JMS, Test Framework, AOP, transaction mgmt ·         Comfortable working in Unix (and Mac or Windows) environment ·         Focus on software quality: low coupling, high cohesion; refactoring to address technical debt, extensibility ·         Experience with Agile/Scrum, Iterative/Incremental Development, TDD, and Continuous-Integration ·         Demonstrate willingness to adapt to emerging technological changes ·         Previous experience working as a team member with highly skilled technical engineers ·         Demonstrate a high standard of work ethics   Preferred Skills ·         Scalable web development - load balancing, caching strategies, horizontal scalability ·         Experience enabling performance monitoring and optimizations ·         Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design and enterprise design patterns ·         Basic understanding of network concepts - NAT, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP ·         Comet techniques, especially server-sent events and web-sockets ·         Sonar ·         Continuous Integration ·         Git ·         Maven ·         JIRA   Bonus Skill Sets ·         Rules engines ·      ... http://bull.hn/l/U7EP/3"
