Prashant H V posted a job: Senior Principal Engineer - Gurgaon "Senior Principal Engineer: We are seeking smart motivated Windows kernel developers who can conceptualize, build, ship and support technically challenging products. Passion for technology is a must and we expect this individual to be self-driven and work with minimal supervision. As a senior technical member on the team, this individual is also expected to mentor team members and influence technical decisions in the team. Responsibilities: · Windows Kernel mode programming including (but not limited to) writing kernel drivers, debugging, etc. · Work closely with product management and field teams to create high quality products through all stages of SDLC from design to release · Hands-on development of exciting new enterprise software solutions · Work closely with development leaders, architects and managers to plan releases · Work and collaborate with engineers from partner companies as necessary · Participate in the definition and design of new features and products · Perform debugging and troubleshooting in variety of local and remote testing environments as well as in the field as required. Experience Minimum Qualifications: We are seeking candidates that thrive on challenge and have the ability to work independently to ensure high quality of mission critical platform and applications. The minimum qualifications we look for are: · Overall 8+ years of experience · 4+ years of Kernel programming experience · Very good knowledge of C · Hands-on experience with: o Window Internals, hooking into Windows kernel o WDM and WDF Frameworks o Experience with File System Filter driver, Mini Filters, Block filter driver or Device driver programming, understanding of processor architecture and assembly language. o Knowledge of Windows Systems programming, system programming using Windows 32-bit and 64-bit APIs, and network programming would be a plus · Dump debugging – Good hands on experience with Windows Debugging · Has a solid software engineering background with strong experience in kernel and systems level programming · Understanding of Design Patterns, Development Processes and Best Practices · Knowledge of Compilers, linkers and loaders · Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly break down and understand complex issues · Experience with software engineering best practices, including use of version control systems, change and defect tracking tools, and test automation tools · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Experience dealing with new OS Version for example Windows versions such as Windows-8, etc · Prior professional software development experience · Ability to Translate Business Goals into Product · Proven Ability to Architect Applications · Experience working with virtualization platforms such as VMware a plus Must be highly motivated with a strong passion for and commitment to software quality B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MCA from Top Engineering colleges (preferably) Preferred Qualifications: · Master's in Computer Science or related technical field. · Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design. · Experience with large systems software design and development · Have built continuous integration systems, debugged and triaged customer issues, or improved testability of software through refactoring.
