Role : Business Intelligence DBA Location : Birmingham, AL -- Only Citizens & GC Duration : Contract To Hire. Description: The ideal candidate would be a certified DBA with strong experience with the Microsoft BI stack. Candidates will have an initial phone screen with the manager then an onsite interview here with some of the team. This process will move fast so please send over qualified candidates ASAP. Role / Responsibilities: • Client is looking for a certified Application DBA whose primary responsibility will to provide leadership and governance in the optimization of ETL packages in an enterprise data warehouse. • The ideal candidate will be an expert at performance tuning with the Microsoft BI stack, specifically SQL 2008R2 and SQL2012. • The candidate will serve as data modeler (OLTP, ODS, OLAP) and drive continuous improvement for operational functions within the Business Intelligence team. • This position will assist the data architect in the assessment, improvement and governance of quality and ongoing fitness-for-purpose of an organization's critical data assets. • This person assesses the current state of data quality within their scope of responsibility and works within and beyond area of control to implement improvement approaches. • The Data Steward will be the primary point of contact in the use of source data within the EDW, and assist the BI Leads in defining delivery solutions to support our customer base. Required Skills / Experience: • Microsoft Certified DBA • 5+ Years’ Experience in the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) • Expertise in Performance Tuning • Expertise in Data Modeling/Design • ITIL Methodology If you are available and interested in this positions.
