An experienced Service Management Solution Architect is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company based in the UK, on a Contract basis. You will be based in Reading Job Description: In the role of Service Management Solution Architect (SMSA), you will design and architect an overall solution for Service Management within MS Operations working with point product specialists as needed to complete a solution design that provides business value to Huawei’s customers. The SMSA has three major sub-roles of ITIL Service Architect, Solution Designer and BMC ITSM Technology Advisor. Key Responsibilities: Provide thought leadership through knowledge of technology, architecture, and trends in Service Management solution domains Acting as the implementation design lead for BMC ITSM deployments To be able to articulate and make recommend how the tools can be used to enhance current ITIL processes within the operations areas. Use technical and business acumen to win and maintain influential relationships with key clients, Operations managers and leads and technology delivery partner Provide input to the design of solutions as a recognised subject matter expert to deliver improvements in the operations team Lead the development of architectural designs by employing accepted design methods, patterns, and best practices; Develop plans, roadmaps and strategies for integrating ITSM tools and associated interfaces, and work with other tools and infrastructure architects to define integrated solutions Ensure the client is satisfied with the design, and lead the preparation towards a successful implementation; Ensure work products are documented and reusable by other technical professionals Ensure Service Management products are delivered in advance of 'go-live', examples include: Awareness campaigns and workshops Documented or updated Service Support Model Reviewed, re-negotiated, or updated Service Level and Operating Level Agreements (SLA / OLA) Developing a strong partnership with BMC, ensuring use of its standard best practice Manage operational requirements for system enhancements championing the priorities for delivery Qualifications: IT Service Management professional with experience of IT service management. Experience of implementing ITIL best practice processes. Proven track record of business change management within a large-scale technology environment Holds ITIL Service Design Certification Experience of deploying BMC ITSM (or similar products). In-depth knowledge and experience of the BMC Remedy suite of tools and other complementary ITSM tools Proven experience of developing conceptual architectures and applying architecture policy and standards Extensive experience of and participation in client facing transformations or implementations. Strong consulting skills. Experience in transforming and implementing service management / ITIL processes in complex, large user population, technical environments. Highly resilient and capable of working independently in client organisations Understands cost, advantages and disadvantages of various alternative solutions. Keeps up to date with overall trends and changes in the technology market and in detail with those that are relevant to Service Management Experience of managing multiple tasks and conflicting priorities. Experience of developing, communicating and implementing documented procedures. Full Project lifecycle experience.
