You will be based in Reading. Job Description: You will be responsible for Back Office Portal and Content operational support reporting to the Core and Products Manager. Key Responsibilities: The primary role of the Portal and Content team is the support and system integration of Hutchison3G’s browsing products for the UK and ROI networks. Ensure the 3G mobile browsing service meets clearly defined service level agreements as defined in the managed service agreement for Hutchison 3G UK Limited. Meet the committed business plan for new browsing products and services. Advise 3rd party content and service providers on strategy for delivery of 3G services. To be aware of new developments and techniques in the 3G and internet technology to ensure our client keeps its competitive advantage. Individual Responsibilities: Problem determination and root cause analysis, application installation and configuration, performance monitoring and tuning. Ensure all problems are dealt with within SLAs, with an emphasis on taking ownership of any problems that affect the customer experience. Measure and be accountable for the continuous improvements in product performance e.g. meeting targets set the Product and Core Manager for both the UK & Ireland on Product KPIs. To work with 3rd party providers to resolve technical issues. Track and manage problem escalations via an industry standard call tracking system and co-ordinate implementation of root cause fixes with suppliers. Responsible for planning and delivery of P&C technology Responsible for Operational design decisions for P&C technology Interface with Business, Marketing and Customer Communications departments to ensure that the Portal and Content team are always up to date with business priorities Qualifications: Operational Experience Can demonstrate strong UNIX and Windows platform experience Essential Can demonstrate strong web and Java application server experience, with preference for Apache / WebLogic Essential Can demonstrate extensive experience in installing, integrating and configuring diverse IT applications Essential Can demonstrate strong TCP/IP networking skills Essential Can demonstrate strong HTTP, HTML, XHTML skills Essential Can demonstrate experience of mobile or internet streaming technology Desirable Programming and scripting experience e.g. Java, JavaScript, PERL, PHP Desirable Database experience e.g. MySQL, Oracle Desirable Personal Characteristics: Excellent problem solving abilities Essential Able to work with minimum supervision Essential Ability to work in a high pressure environment Essential Prepared to take ownership for issues which can span multiple teams and technology areas Essential Team player Essential Good communication skills Essential If you are interested, available and have the appropriate skills and experiences for the above position, please forward your updated resume in a word document to Jason at sales@manningglobal.com with the following reference JSJ1/BOPM-14212 or call +385 1 638 7401 for further information.
