Group: IT Recruiters Subject: PHP Developer - Manchester Amy Broadbent posted a job: PHP Developer - Manchester "PHP Developer -North West- £200-270 per day I have project requirement for multiple PHP Developers for a large scale project based in the North West of England. The client is a Multi-million pound organisation who provide cost saving solutions to a range of industries through the development of their bespoke software. This role will involve working on a large business to business solution for an international client. This is a business critical project and will help the client achieve their next goal of breaking the American Market. The main bulk of the contract will involve re-writing an existing high volume high traffic application; however you may also dip into other projects including quote comparison sites, ecommerce sites and CRM's. Successful candidates will have strong OOP design and have worked on numerous PHP, MySQL projects, ideally high volume/high traffic. Having a quality focus is paramount therefore experience with TDD and agile methodologies is a must. Agile experience/knowledge is essential. Even if you have no commercial experience but are keen to work within Agile and understand the principals and advantages the client would still be interested in speaking to you. Experience with MVC Frameworks (Particularly Zend) will be highly beneficial. Essential Skills: - PHP (OOP) - Agile, TDD, Scrum - Zend Framework (or other MVC's) - TDD, PHPUnit - MySQL - JQuery - SVN or GIT Desirable Skills: - Other programming languages, Java, C++, Perl - BASH/Shell Scripting - XML/XSLT This is an initial 6 month contract with excellent extension opportunities and even the potential of a permanent role if right for both parties. As there are multiple roles there is an opportunity for immediate starts, however the client will need people to start prior to October 1st. Interviews will take place on Friday 13th September and week commencing 16th September. This will be a 1 stage face to face interview lasting around 1 hour.
