Group: IT Recruiters Subject: SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER -GERMANY - M/F Ricardo Alves posted a job: SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER -GERMANY - M/F "Our client is looking for an experienced systems administrator and infrastructure engineer to create and develop secure systems and applications to handle its data. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Administration and development of the core aspects of the company’s cloud-based infrastructure on Amazon AWS; • Management of distributed computing capacities for big data applications (using ELBs + High CPU instances); • Capacity management and scale planning; • Oversight of the company’s LAN, devices and client administration; • Setup of central configuration management (Chef / Puppet); • Responsibility for analysis of system security (STRIDE); • Work closely together with the development team and risk department; • Ensure the security of the company’s systems and data. PROFILE: • Degree in computer science, engineering or related field; • 3+ years of experience in system administration in an internet company; • Strong understanding of web technologies, including PHP and Java, SQL and NoSQL databases, Postgres and MongoDB; • Hands-on expertise in Linux administration, web server administration, Cloud hosting (EC2) and virtualization, System monitoring and diagnostics (Nagios, NewRelic); • High level experience in distributed architecture and load balancing, configuration management (Chef /Puppet), IT security management, Proxy infrastructure and CDN infrastructure; • Excellent working knowledge of LAN administration and VPN infrastructure; • Experience in Active Directory Management, MS Sharepoint and Win Server 2012; • Practical experience with big data processing (map reduce, R framework, RServe, etc.) is a plus, Data integration (ETL) is a plus; • MCSA certification would be an advantage; • Excellent communication skills in English.
