In this role the Senior Business Analyst acts as the intermediary between the business community and Informatics team. Much of this work will be understanding SAP requirements from the business and utilizing prior SAP knowledge to assist the Informatics team in producing solutions. The Senior Business Analyst possesses knowledge of the supported business area and is a primary contact to business customers to qualify and quantify the demand and ensure that the solutions being developed are aligned with the overall Informatics strategy, portfolio, and requirements of the business community. The Senior Business Analyst is required to understand the needs, goals, requirements, and expectations of the business users. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst interacts with the Architecture, Project Management, and Delivery teams in the vetting, approval, implementation, and close out of solutions for the business community. Primary Job Duties include but are not limited to the following: • Identify and champion business improvement opportunities. • Conduct business requirements sessions with business users to record requirements relative to business process outcomes. • Convert the captured business requirements into user requirements documents. • Proactively identify and report on risks, issues and dependencies for the project. • Work with the project management team for approval or funding of medium to large scale projects. • Effectively interpret strategic goals and objectives of the business community and IT. For this role you should have at least 5 years’ experience as a Systems/Business Analyst with experience with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Corporate Security and Legal applications including SAP Modules (FI / CO, MM). You should have a good understanding of the System Design Life Cycle and previous technical experience. Ideally you should also have working knowledge of Mercury Quality Center and Quick Test Pro, Provision. This is the ideal role for someone with good SAP FI/CO knowledge but not someone who is looking to do configuration and implementations. You should also have prior experience of working within a pharmaceutical or biotech business.
