This role can be based at our client’s offices in New York City, Princeton, NJ or Horsham, PA. Our client is an internationally-renowned pharmaceutical consultancy who are expanding their established global practice with a fantastic opportunity within their Market Access business unit. Currently they are looking for one Associate Consultant/Consultant, with further expansion expected towards the end of the year and in Europe. In this role the candidate will be responsible for supporting projects addressing pricing and reimbursement strategy, health technology assessment, health economic evaluation, health policy and commercial development strategy needs of clients for both pipeline and in-line products. You will be responsible for managing all facets of client engagements from proposal development to strategy creation, primary and secondary market research and data analysis, pricing and reimbursement environment analysis and identifying business development opportunities and developing existing relationships. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in a fast paced consulting environment with exposure to domestic and international pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, and diagnostic-related projects. For this role you must have a Bachelor’s degree (preferably Master’s degree or higher) in Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Services Research or a related field. You should have at least 3 years relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostic, or medical device industries or healthcare-focused management consulting. Ideally you should have some consulting experience. You should also have an in-depth knowledge of US and global payment systems, the intricacies of public and private payer coverage methodologies, the role of stakeholders in the market access process, and familiarity with technology valuation practices. Knowledge of foreign payer systems is a further plus. For this role you will also have to demonstrate that you are a self starter who excels working in a timeline driven team environment and should enjoy interfacing with clients and learning about new healthcare technologies, disease states and international healthcare systems.
