Subject: Single Stock Application Support - AVP - Tier One Investment Bank - Hong Kong Barry Williamson posted a job: Single Stock Application Support - AVP - Tier One Investment Bank - Hong Kong "Main Function A member of the Single Stock trading support team which is part of Equities Cash and Futures Run-The-Bank team in APAC, you will have the following responsibilities while based on the trading floor in Hong Kong: • Provide application support for mission critical Single Stock trading technology during Asia Pacific market and business hours • Be the first point of contact for traders, sales people and client service groups for any issues or queries around functionality, usage, execution, client flows, latency, pricing and static data. • Deputise for team leads in senior meetings with key stakeholders where appropriate • Develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems and local markets, sharing that knowledge, as required, with global teams • Liaise with internal traders and sales on potential process improvements • Mentor more junior members of the team where appropriate • Liaise with development teams on future applications • Take ownership of issues through to resolution or escalation, as appropriate • Pro-actively improve the quality of systems and service, and increase business value • Undertake projects as required, including, but not restricted to, the following areas: - capacity and performance management, monitoring initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, web based tools, reporting and documentation • Uphold and champion policies, procedures and standards Experience Required • Listed Equity Markets technology experience in a related front-office application support role within investment banking. • We require candidate with in-depth knowledge of Trading Listed equities product knowledge with emphasis on APAC markets Experience Preferred • Knowledge of algorithmic trading Skills / Aptitude Required • Unix / Linux • Knowledge of FIX • Exchange Connectivity • Understand and debugging of algo behaviour • SQL (Sybase / Oracle) • Shell/Perl scripting • General infrastructure knowledge: the ability to troubleshoot latency issues • Excellent communicator, client facing skills, able to work well in a cross-disciplined team and alone with minimum supervision. • Pro-active, thorough, organized and energetic. • Excellent problem solver with a commitment to thorough root cause analysis and business process improvement Skills / Aptitude Preferred • ITIL knowledge • KDB • Microsoft Windows • PL/SQL • CGI Scripting/HTML • VBA • Issue tracking tools: HP Service Centre, Jira If you meet these requirements and would like to discuss further please forward your CV to Barry@realtimeresourcing.com"
