Experience • 8 years working experience Additional requirements • Minimum 3 years working experience in oil & gas industries or equivalent Discipline • Mech./ Metallurgy Eng. Purpose To perform installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of Pipeline rotating and static mechanical equipment, located on the various plant sites and pipe network system. Dimensions Opex: US$ 60,000 Background The Mechanical Technician reports to the Mechanical Supervisor in the organization that comes under maintenance Department for Pipeline Division. The Mechanical Technician is responsible to ensure the Pipeline network mechanical equipment is maintained and functioning properly to meet the Company and HSE standards. This range of equipment generates challenging and technically complex types of maintenance, due to the length of the pipeline, and the harsh and remote desert locations required for performing most of the maintenance activities. Main Accountabilities • To receive work assignments from Supervisor, examine faulty equipment to determine scope and requirement, obtain necessary tools and spare parts and proceed to work site to perform the job. • To troubleshoot equipment to locate fault, determining the fault and perform the appropriate method of repair, including dismantling, assembling & replacement/repair of defective equipment components. • To perform routine predictive and preventive maintenance checks and tests on running equipment and machinery, including the use of precision instruments such as laser optic equipment, gauges and tachometers, and report to Supervisors where reading"
