Service Delivery professionals are responsible for providing service delivery across the breadth of offerings such as accounting, information technology, application development and maintenance, helpdesk services, procurement, learning and training, and human resources. The work that is performed by our delivery professionals may serve one or more clients concurrently and they may be located directly at a client site or within our global delivery network. The Capital Markets Solutions Group delivers state-of-the-art custom trading system applications, risk management systems and other technologies for the world's leading banks, electronic exchanges, asset management firms, hedge funds, insurance companies and other financial services institutions. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Software Developers /Engineers (Java or.NET or C++) Developer Specialist is to help specify, design & implement/integrate technical components of a client solution. This individual is heavily involved in the testing, delivery and rollout of solutions - working within a team environment. Technical Consultants are involved in code & design reviews, issue tracking and resolution, status reporting and project tracking, quality assurance, configuration management, documentation and deliverable construction/packaging. Key responsibilities may include: • Assisting with business development/closing the sale • Writing proposals and project cost estimates • Gathering functional requirements and developing technical specifications & project/test planning • Potentially leading development teams and supervising other technical resources • Designing/developing software applications, project prototypes, proofs of concept & client demos • Reviewing designs & code output from development team and results produced by QA personnel • Interfacing with other technical and functional groups within • Willingness to travel up to 50% or based on business needs. Basic Qualifications: • 2 + years of experience designing and developing capital markets/financial applications including trading systems, risk analysis applications or equity/fixed income applications, etc. • 3 + years of experience with object-oriented design and development utilizing Java/J2EE and/or .NET and/or C++ technologies • 3 + years of work experience as Software Developer, Software Engineer, or other similar position with technical focus, application development or architecture experience • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Engineering (any type), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline. Preferred Skills: • Experience with database technologies including Oracle, Sybase and/or SQL Server • Experience with messaging - tools, middleware, protocols, etc. • Exposure to a variety of distributed computing technologies • Basic project management experience • Strong writing, problem solving, communication and client-facing skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Engineering (any type), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline with technology focus.
