Sc. in Engineering or science discipline • 7 years experience in the oil and gas industry • of which 5 years in the project HSE function • Membership of a professional safety organization • Excellent written and spoken English language Job Purpose • To provide expertise in the field of Health, Safety and Environment to projects; enhance the coordination and management of HSE in accordance with the contractual obligations and regulatory HSE requirements • Ensure projects execution in compliance with Company HSE goals and objectives for complete project lifestyle • Ensure compliance with Company HSE regulations, HSE MS, Company Codes of Practice, local and international standards. Principal Accountabilities • Advises on HSE objectives, targets and programmes and identified needs based on trends and performance • Participates in the development of project specific HSE MS, HSE philosophy and HSE plan • Reviews and provides specialist input to project HSE deliverables • Assists Projects Managers in continuous HSE improvements during project design construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities by identifying weaknesses, recommending tools, techniques and programmes for improvements • Participates in the relevant HSE studies/reviews such as Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard & Operability Study (HAZOP), Project HSE Reviews (PHSER’s), Environmental Hazard Identification (ENVID), HSE Impact Assessment (HSEIA), Qualified Risk Assessment (QRA), Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPs) Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Constructability Reviews and follows up on the implementation of recommendations. • Reviews Statement of Requirements (SOR) for new projects and ensures inclusion of all applicable HSE requirements and more………….."
