Role : Data Network Architect -- In-Person Interview Location : Roseland, NJ Duration : Long Term Contract (Only Green Card / USC). JOB DESCRIPTION: Client is looking for a Data Network Architect for the Data Network Services Group. This person will be responsible for setting technology direction, strategy, policies, and guidelines for one or more technology activities (e.g., Routers, Switches, VPN, MPLS, QoS, IPSLA) globally within the organization. Partners with a specific division or functional area to create the technology strategic vision and assures business plans are developed and implemented to support the vision. This individual helps their clients most significantly through: technology innovation, business functionality, vendor alignment, and strategy and planning. • Create annual technology business plan for area of responsibility. • Provide vision in support of the creation of Architecture. • Evaluate new and existing external vendors in support of the enterprise goals. • Recommend appropriate technology platform to support business processes and information flows. • Analysis and recommendation of new or different technologies to enhance current systems. • Provide technical support to client and technology management to ensure development of efficient application systems utilizing established standards, procedures and methodologies. • Develop and maintain a system architecture and standards from firm wide operations • Resolve architectural and technology choices balancing strategic integration and urgent business needs. • Ensure that business technology requests maximize the technology investments made. • Address complex technology needs of the clients by applying sophisticated technical skills and understanding business functions. • Provide Tier 4 Operations support when required Qualifications: • 15+ years of experience in the technology field • Experience with technologies such as Routers, Switches, Wireless, VPN, MPLS, QOS, IPSLA, routing protocols i.e. BGP, EIGRP, scripting (preferably PERL) a must. • Nice to have: DNS DHCP, firewalls, loadbalancing, ITIL training • Must have demonstrated leadership qualities • Demonstrated excellent communication, writing & documentation skills • Expertise in specific technologies & deep understanding of majority of the technology portfolio • Experience with Visio, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite • Education: Minimum Bachelors, CCNE & other certification If you are available and interested in this positions.
