If you are available and interested, or know someone else who may be looking, please contact us at Career@MicroAgility.com Title: Operational Risk Manager Location: Stamford, CT Type: Full time W2/C2C Rate: Market Job ID: 1802-001RM JOB DESCRIPTION You are expected to work directly with senior management of our clients in multiple profit and support centers to provide leadership, guidance, and analysis to aid the business in effectively identifying, prioritizing and managing operational risk consistent with risk appetite and tolerance in the center and enterprise-wide. You are expected to facilitate identification and understanding of inherent and residual potential risks in business processes, applications, systems, third parties, and so on that can result in potential negative impact to the profit center and the Company’s reputation, financial losses, lost revenue opportunities, legal liability, fraud, regulatory sanctions, business disruptions. You are also expected to identify practical solutions to manage these risks. Responsibilities: - Formulate, disseminate and administer policies and standards related to Operational Risk - Influence through others adoption of operational risk management programs - Build partnerships with centers as a trusted advisory to senior management - Prepare analysis and recommendations on business operational risk profiles and trends, enabling the business to prioritize and identify opportunities to minimize risk while maximizing operational efficiencies in a sustainable manner within risk appetite boundaries - Develop and implement applicable qualitative and quantitative processes and tools to achieve defined objectives to provide value to the business including, but not limited to, key risk indicators, operational loss/incident assessment, residual risk, and operational risk dashboards - Assist in the development of risk process optimization in support of strategic objectives and business and/or corporate goals - Understand and apply all established policies and other criteria in support of the risk governance framework - Keep abreast of risk management changes and tools needed to maintain a robust program; assist in the development and implementation of enhancements to the program. - Analyze operational risk for identification of inherent risk, controls and safeguards, and residual risks for identified business areas. Knowledge: - Strong understanding of the principles of risk management, information security and their relationship to corporate governance activities such as operational risk management and organizational impact - In-depth knowledge of industry standards risk management approaches: ISO, ISF, COBIT, COSO, Institute of Operational Risk Operational Risk Sound Practice Guidance, Fraud Risk Management, as well as regulations including Sarbanes Oxley, Basel II, GLBA, HIPAA, FINRA, SEC, and so on. - Strong understanding of compliance, fraud, risk mitigation, information security, privacy, third party risk management, and financial reporting. - Possesses and builds on knowledge of operational risks and trends relevant to financial services and insurance staying abreast of current and pending regulatory and compliance requirements Education: - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required Experience: - Minimum 6 years of experience specialized in operational risk management, information security, enterprise risk management, security, and privacy standards/assessments About MicroAgility: MicroAgility is a business and technology consulting company.
