Maintains network storage infrastructure availability and health. VMWare Network Engineer Job Duties: Monitors, Maintains, and Configures VMware virtualization environment. Maintains IIS servers and Active Directory Servers. Establishes network availability by analyzing network health, workflow, access, information, and security requirements; performing hardware/ software based load-balancing, performing router/ switch administration, including interface configuration and switching protocols. Configures network storage connectivity using ISCI/NFS storage connectivity protocols. Maintains NetApp Storage systems using FilerView, OnCommand, SnapDrive, and SnapManager. Troubleshoots and monitors network storage health and availability. Performs server load balancing in multiple DMZ networking environments by installing, administering, and maintaining F5 and Brocade load-balancing. Performs network load balancing in multiple networking environments by administering Cisco campus based switching environments using Vlans, VTP protocols, trunking protocols, and spanning-tree optimization. Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. Monitors network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor. Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installingenhancements. Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets for new product enhancements.
