JD : Position : Senior Java Developer Type :     Fulltime Location :   New York, NY About Client: Client is one of the world's leading operators of fixed income and derivatives markets, with a client network in excess of 2,000 institutional clients and more than 50 dealers. With both dealer-to-customer and interdealer businesses, as well as client is ideally positioned to provide a full range of services - whether electronic, voice, or hybrid. In addition to its strong presence in fixed income, Tradeweb is a key player in the global derivatives market. Department description: The Support team is responsible for the provision of extremely high levels of availability for the production, demonstration, and test systems. This includes maintenance and upgrades of these systems. Key products: Description of position: High visibility, solid Mid-Level Support role focusing on environment and configuration management. Responsibilities will include: - Implementation of new processes, features and subsystems into all environments - both PROD and TEST. - Integration of third party products into existing trading system for all environments. - Environment management, including upgrades, configuration changes and upgrades. - Installations into the production, staging, and testing environments. - Working with the QA team to facilitate testing for the next major release as well as current patch releases and rollouts. - Backup to existing Build and Release Manager. - The provision of extremely high levels of availability for the production, demonstration and test systems. - Develop/Maintain any tools/utilities required for improving the build and deployment processes and managing/supporting the environments. - Some development, including Support and QA tools, including maintenance of existing tools and applications. Background: - Experience supporting an existing large system to very high levels of availability, ideally of financial and especially trading systems is desirable. - Candidate in this role requires good communication skills as they will be dealing with internal customers on a regular basis. - Flexibility to work with and learn new tools and technologies. - In this role you will be required to be flexible regarding work schedule, including occasional weekend duties and early morning shift coverage. - Five to Seven years experience Required skills: - Understanding Programming languages, both scripting and complied.
