Well known, expanding CPA firm is seeking a Real Estate Tax Senior Manager or Director to take a high profile role in helping to run the real estate tax department. This is a highly visible position and has strong partnership potential. Responsibilities include: • Performing consulting and compliance services for corporations, partnerships and individuals with a strong emphasis on commercial real estate clients • Identifying tax planning strategies to optimize the clients’ tax issues • Reviewing work prepared by staff • Supervising, training and evaluating advanced level staff • Coordinate IRS and all applicable state and local income and sales tax audits • Co-responsibility with partners with billing and staff utilization • Maintaining strong client relationships • Maintaining knowledge of new tax issues and general business trends that affect your client • Knowledge of recent tax developments and their affect on your clients • Developing solid client relationships Position Requirements: • BS in Accounting or related field • MS or LLM in tax a big plus • 8+ years recent experience in the tax department of a CPA firm, with a strong specialization in the commercial real estate industry • Experience in partnership, individual and corporate tax work • Strong team player • Ability to take control and help to run a growing department • Solid verbal and written communication skills • Strong project management skills Salary Commensurate with Experience Position is Bonus Eligible Please respond in confidence to: Paula V.
