THIS IS WHAT THE HIRING MANAGER WANTS WITH THE CANDIDATE: Candidates should be dedicated expert client sides technologists. If we see J2EE, Database, and a lot of other non-presentation logic technology acronyms on resumes they are most likely not a good fit. These are the candidates that dabble in client side, every J2EE resources can work with JavaScript and html, and CSS but we are looking for candidates who spend 90% - 100% of their career in client facing technologies only JavaScript, CSS, html etc. They need to write pages from scratch and not just modify the work of somebody else. Candidates should know CSS and JavaScript like the "back of their hands". They should know all of the deficiency in ALL the browsers and know the work arounds to fix. They should be able to look at a Photoshop rendering of the page and recreate it down to the pixel in HTML/CSS. They should know JavaScript and be able to create rich **Highly Interactive** websites. If there most complex JavaScript is "form validation" they wont cut it. We're looking for experience with interactive applications like mint.com, gmail.com, http://basecamphq.com etc... They should have an online portfolio with code samples, websites they created, etc. Financial Services experience is nice to have for these roles. If they worked for an agency that is a plus Requirements: 6+ years' experience developing interactive GUIs using DHTML/DOM Scripting (HTML, JavaScript, CSS), XML/XSL. Expert level in native JavaScript - knowledge of Dojo a plus Ability to write advanced Object-Oriented JavaScript code leveraging inheritance, encapsulation etc. Knowledge of current web technologies and trends such as Sockets, HTML5, CSS3 etc. Understanding of cross browser/cross platform limitations and solutions. In-depth knowledge of CSS, browser compatibility and work-arounds Able to hand code pixel perfect web pages using CSS and HTML compatible across all major browsers Excellent communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field preferred.
