Subject: Operational Risk & Business Continuity Department Head - VP - Tier One Investment Bank - Hong Kong Barry Williamson posted a job: Operational Risk & Business Continuity Department Head - VP - Tier One Investment Bank - Hong Kong "Department head for all ORM, BCM, and other related activities, leading a small team with multidiscipline responsibilities. An OR/BC Department head within ORM/BCM is primarily responsible for supporting a number of key initiatives including: • Day-to-day Operational Risk Management including identification and mitigation of OR issues from a regional / country and divisional perspective • Ensuring that all input data for the quarterly capital calculation is delivered in time and good quality from the business divisions and Control & Support Groups • Divisional / Control & Support Group Framework implementation • Assisting on or management of specialist projects • Assisting on regional, divisional and ad-hoc reporting • Conducting data analysis (e.g. loss data, KRI data, etc) • Oversight of BCM compliance, including Business Continuity documentation, recovery strategy implementation, training and testing. • Crisis response support in the event of real or potential business disruptions. • Analysis of BCM risks and assistance to responsible units to mitigate them. • Financial services background, AM and/or Operational Risk preferable • Strong computer skills • Undergraduate degree or equivalent • Proven strong academic track record • Candidates preferred with experience in both ORM and BCM. However, candidates with strong experience in one area who can quickly learn the other will be considered. • Ability to manage a crisis is essential. • Strong face off skills to senior management required. • IT experience a plus (the ability to help assess IT issues and solutions).
