Overview: Education: BS in Nutrition (highly desired), RD (registered dietitian) not required Work experience - preferably 5+ years a branded food manufacture or food ingredient company. Reports into Research and Development. Future career path - ideally, candidate would have good communication skills that could lead to technical sales role. Responsibilities: Participation in product development, pilot plant trials, ingredient evaluation and flavor selection Regulatory liaison for labelling, claims purposes etc. Serve as the Beverage "go to person" for all nutrition related questions Participate in customer projects providing direction as it relates to nutritional targets Serve as customer contact when discussing nutrition related topics Support account managers as needed (traveling to customers) Support marketing by staying abreast of latest nutritional beverage launches Identifying latest nutrition trends and educating internal sales/marketing/ R&D Support Custom Products ensuring private label products are in-line with the brand Serving as nutrition expert for targeted retailers Does this sound like you, or perhaps like somebody you know?
