Melissa Grajeda has started a discussion: In-House Compliance Attorney opening in Orange County, CA "We are searching for a licensed attorney with experience in compliance and in directing, managing, and implementing a regulatory system overseeing insurance product sales and administration as mandated by the state. This position will be responsible for drafting product contracts and will partner with a division compliance officer in determining the effectiveness of the division’s initiative compliance processes. Additional duties may require the overseeing of other compliance-related projects as may be assigned by management. Requirements: • Bachelors Degree and JD from an ABA accredited law school required; • Must have at least 5+ years experience as an Attorney in a life Insurance or a financial services/compliance department within a large financial services organization; • Experience working as an attorney in the areas of compliance, insurance, securities law or financial services; • Strong working knowledge or financial terminology and sales; • The ability to understand general regulatory issues; • Strong research experience using research tools Westlaw and Lexis; • Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills; • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment; • Technical skills and the ability to think analytically; • Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Apply today!
