The position is much more management of people and the escalation and prioritization of the work. Fantastic opportunity to join a leading network software product development company. Responsibilities: Hire, mentor, lead, motivate and manage a team of 10-12 Java C/C++developers. Plan development, task the team, lead code reviews, and prioritize work. Skills and Requirements: - 6-10 years Java software development experience. - Experience with C/C++ software development would be an asset. - Experience developing in both Windows and Linux environments. - Experience with Agile Software Development practices. - 2-5 years in a leadership role managing a team of 5-10 Java software developers. - Must have excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written. - Must be well organized, confident and have excellent interpersonal skills - A degree or Diploma in Computer Science or an additional 2 years of software development experience. Other information: This opportunity is only open to candidates with Canadian Citizenship or Canadian Permanent Residency status.
