Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements. Provide both order-of-magnitude and detailed estimates for software development activities and artifacts. Develops and refines estimating models based on previous project actuals and trends to improve accuracy of estimates. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum of 5+ years of IT work experience focused in software design with emphasis on RUP and UML. Experience with several of the following COBOL, CICS, IMS DB2, MQ, Vitria, J2EE, WebSphere, Oracle, and Cognos. Consultant Role and Location: Software Design Analyst Deliverable: Create FS/System Use Cases, Document and present design approaches to Business, Development and QA team. Present the design document to all the clients plans. Required/Mandatory Skills: Knowledge of Database Platforms DB2 Database Platforms IMS Miscellaneous Test planning Operating Systems/APIs CICS Programming Languages Cobol (Any) Programming Languages JCL Additional Skills: ITS experience preferable.
