Subject: Continuous Improvement Manager, Sioux Falls area-SD, clinton.brown@experis.com Clinton Brown posted a job: Continuous Improvement Manager, Sioux Falls area-SD, clinton.brown@experis.com "We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead a team of process, continuous improvement and industrial engineers. This position is considered a company expert in Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies and will be responsible for developing and implementing facility layouts, process workflow and work methods. Initiate, maintain and improve manufacturing support processes, costs, and controls in the manufacture of products and processes. Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of operations and will interface with customers about lean strategy and implementation. Provide strong leadership and direction to team members and lead initiatives as required. Work with senior management on creating company lean strategy and vision. Create programs which will build and support a lean culture throughout the organization. Benchmark and establish performance metrics, collect and report results. Interact with customers and co-workers in a positive, constructive, team oriented manner. Improve workflow, recommend and implement modifications for equipment and product design. Design and coordinate line layouts, work stations, production aids and set-ups for current and new products. Write policies/procedures, cost analysis and status reports. Use VSM to drive waste removal in all areas of the product and production processes. Implement procedures to identify and analyze waste by studying methods, equipment and operator techniques. Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams as required. Qualifications/Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline required, Industrial Engineering preferred. Continuing Education in Lean Methodologies, TPS or similar. A history of demonstrating the use of Lean Methodologies and successful bottom line results. Demonstrated success in a leadership role in a plant engineering function. Strong business acumen. Experience leading cross functional teams and utilizing project management skills and software. Experience using Auto-CAD , MTM and simulation software would be an advantage. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Experience in QS-9000 / ISO-9000 implementation. Excellent interpersonal skills to include written and verbal communications. Work experience should demonstrate problem solving skills. Experience supporting a rapidly growing operation preferred.
