James Morgan [LION] has started a discussion: Technical Test Analyst required - Hertfordshire - Market Rates, contact james.morgan4@capita.co.uk for details "Technical Test Analyst – Market Rates - Hertfordshire – Multiple Opportunities – Perm This is a consultancy role with the test analyst working on site for a large, well know organisation in the retail sector taking responsible for the testing and monitoring of their new storage solution software. The test analyst’s role will include a system support element and some training and development as the testing finishes and a team is recruited under them. The test analyst will be working in a Unix / SQL environment and needs to have an understanding of Java for the analysis of any issues and be able to issue specific instructions to developers to resolve them. The test analyst would be expected to become familiar enough with the system so that once it has gone live, they can offer some support to the users. The core technical capabilities needed are: • Experience of working in a Unix environment, with the ability to use Unix facilities • Experience of working with Oracle databases, including the ability to create SQL queries • Experience of Java, including the ability to understand Java code for fault analysis, etc. It would be beneficial if there were capabilities or experience in: • PLC solutions • Warehouse or factory systems • Experience of .Net • Experience of C# • Agile development approaches In addition to being technically gifted, the test analyst is going to have to be exceptionally hardworking, self motivated, energetic and personable.
